Treasures at Little Jewels offers convenient before and after school care for school-age children enrolled at one of our three locations. We know how difficult it can be to manage multiple schedules, and we understand the accompanying stress. No matter what your family’s schedule is like, our goal is to make your life easier! Treasures at Little Jewels also offers before and after-school care for parents and family members seeking last-minute childcare. Please contact your specific center for availability.
What Are The Hours?
Before School Care: 6:30 a.m. - 7:45 a.m.
After School Care: 2:30 p.m. - 5:30p.m.
Is Treasures Open When School Is Closed?
Treasures at Little Jewels aligns its calendars with Bloomington-Normal’s school districts – Unit 5, District 87, Epiphany, and Tri-Valley. Care will be provided if there is a school break, early dismissal, holiday, or snow day.
What Activities Will The Treasures Program Provide?
Upon arrival, the child is provided with a transitional period to meet his or her own needs. This includes using the bathroom, eating snacks, and physical activity. During the rest of the time, the activities are designed to enhance the child's day in a wholesome educational environment. The following is an example of the type of activities parents could expect their child to encounter:
2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
- Transition period and attendance is taken
- Outdoor playtime
- Snack
- Lunch is provided
- Special activity (arts and crafts, organized games, etc.)
- Free choice
- Homework and study time
- Interactive activities (table games, drawing, reading, etc.)
What Is Needed To Enroll?
Our families must fill out the required registration paperwork, which can be found online. There is a $50 registration fee and $15 technology fee per child.
What Can Your Child Bring From Home?
On full days out of school, your child is allowed to bring toys or electronic devices from home. Please make sure items brought from home have your child’s name on them. The Treasures program is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
Absent Policies
Parents are responsible for contacting the Treasures at Little Jewels program if their child will NOT be attending. It is NOT the school’s responsibility to notify Treasures at Little Jewels of your child’s absence.
