Programs and Activities at Little Jewels
Children enrolled at Little Jewels Learning Center can benefit from a variety of special programs and activities. Little Jewels works with the following organizations:
- Bloomington Public Library
- Normal Public Library
- Life Long Access
- Illinois State University
- St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital
- YMCA
- Hip Cat Music School
YMCA Swimming Lessons
Lessons will be offered to children through YMCA. A fee will be charged to the parents for eight weeks of lessons and transportation. Due to the popularity of this program, there will be a lottery held for interested families.
Library Programs
Staff members from the Bloomington and Normal Public Library visit each of our locations periodically to read with all the classrooms. Our pre-school and pre-k classes also take field trips to the libraries for story time. If your child becomes involved in our summer program, they will have the opportunity to participate in various library reading programs. Students will be challenged to read different stories, use their imaginations, and further their literacy skills while also winning fun prizes!
